Most AI builders produce sites that look the same. Hero section, features grid, pricing table, footer. Same layout, same components, same feel. After seeing ten AI-generated sites, you've seen them all.
We built Genome to fix this.
Genome is VULK's design engine. Instead of generating websites from templates, it assembles them from genes — modular visual components that combine in unique ways based on your project's context.
Think of it like DNA: every website gets a unique genetic sequence, producing designs that feel crafted rather than templated.
Genome currently includes 170+ genes across 12 categories:
| Category | Examples | Count |
|---|---|---|
| Heroes | Split-screen, full-bleed video, animated text reveal | 18 |
| Navigation | Mega menu, sidebar, breadcrumb trail | 12 |
| Features | Bento grid, icon cards, comparison table | 22 |
| Testimonials | Carousel, masonry grid, video quotes | 14 |
| Pricing | Toggle cards, comparison matrix, tier slider | 10 |
| CTAs | Gradient banner, floating bar, exit intent | 11 |
| Galleries | Lightbox, infinite scroll, 3D carousel | 15 |
| Stats | Animated counters, progress rings, live dashboards | 9 |
| Teams | Card grid, timeline, org chart | 8 |
| Footers | Mega footer, minimal, newsletter-integrated | 10 |
| Forms | Multi-step wizard, conversational, embedded | 12 |
| Content | Blog grid, case study, timeline, FAQ accordion | 29 |
Each gene includes its own layout logic, responsive behavior, animation triggers, and color adaptation.
Genome doesn't just pick random genes. The Sequencer analyzes your prompt and makes intelligent decisions:
Industry Detection: Over 40 industry patterns (SaaS, e-commerce, restaurant, portfolio, healthcare, education, etc.) trigger specific gene preferences. A restaurant site gets gallery-heavy sequences. A SaaS product gets feature-comparison sequences.
Section Templates: 12 pre-designed section templates define the rhythm of a page — where to place social proof relative to pricing, when to insert a CTA break, how to alternate between visual and text-heavy sections.
Pacing: The Sequencer ensures visual variety. It won't place two text-heavy sections back-to-back or stack three card grids in a row.
Once genes are selected, the Expression Engine customizes them:
For sites where the prompt is open-ended ("build me something impressive"), the Creative Cortex adds unexpected elements:
These elements transform a standard page into something that feels designed by a creative agency.
Genome includes a built-in image resolver with 90+ curated Unsplash photos mapped to common industries and themes. The next version will integrate AI-generated images for fully unique visuals.

Genome is evolving toward:
Every VULK generation uses Genome by default. Try a specific industry prompt like "build a modern coffee shop website" or "create a SaaS analytics dashboard" and see how the gene sequencing produces different results each time.
